Fits perfect. Shoulder width is 41.5 inches. Ordered the larger and fit really well and there was room for growth in case my dad bod comes out of hiding. I did end up swimming with it on and without a wetsuit. I didn't notice any drag. At least no significant drag. If you are worried about drag then put it on after swimming.
